OnePlus X Hotfix Update is Rolling Out to Fix a Camera Image Corruption Bug

Some OnePlus X users have been having an issue with the camera software on their device. This bug was introduced when the company added manual controls to their camera application and it’s been ruining photos for a certain segment of the user base. This will be a slow rollout, but OnePlus hopes it will get to everyone within 48 hours.

Samsung Wins its Appeal in the Latest Patent Lawsuit with Apple

Samsung and Apple have been going back and forth in patent lawsuits for years. Today, a US appeals court has overturned a $120 million verdict that said Samsung violated Apple’s “quick links” patent. The court also ruled that the slide-to-unlock and auto-correct patents Apple has are invalid and on top of that, they said Apple is violating a patent that Samsung owns.

Google Tests Their Project Loon Autolauncher in Puerto Rico

Project Loon Autolauncher

To test the viability of setting up new Project Loon launch locations in remote areas, Google decided to head down to Puerto Rico for a little test run. The company packed up and shipped one of their autolaunchers 3,500km away & rebuilt it. The test was a success as they were able to fill, lift and launch each of their tennis-court sized balloons in under 30 minutes.

Facebook Live is Coming to Android Next Week

Facebook Live is a popular way to stream content online in real-time, but the feature was launched on iOS first and there hadn’t been word about when it would hit Android device. Today, the company says more than 50% of people watching live videos are doing it on Android. So Facebook is getting ready to launch the feature on Android starting next week in the US.
