Android security issues are making headlines again and these can lead to “eavesdropping, data spoofing, and over-billing”. The report says, Android doesn’t have appropriate permissions for current LTE networks (on AT&T and Verizon) and that the “CALL_PHONE permission can be overruled with only the INTERNET permission by directly sending SIP/IP packets”. This can result in a call being made without providing any feedback to the user.
